It is designed specifically for women and is sized appropriately. External quality is good, linings are comfortable and despite the high tensile strength of the product it is very light and gives a secured feeling. Any street rider should be happy with the balance of strength, comfort and lightness.
Pros and Cons
First thing about this helmet is its versatility. It can be used in extreme cold and extreme heat and yet maintain a consistent level of comfort, insulating your head in a secure and comfortable cocoon. This helmet is certainly well constructed, with a strong outer shell composed of a matrix of Kevlar and fibreglass. It has great venting and air-flow throughout and is pleasantly decaled; not too plain nor over the top.
The view-shield is clear and very wide, giving loads of visibility and a full peripheral view which serves to enhance the safety of the ride. The waterproofing is excellent; the Scorpion EXO-700 Helmet almost seems to repel the rain, even at highway speeds. The graphic is good, classy but unobtrusive, just right for those who like middle of the road patterns, not too plain and yet not too bad’.
The helmet is light weight and very comfortable. The visor changing fittings can occasionally deteriorate with time, which will make it hard to change the face-shield. It could be a little better shaped to gain a complete neck seal. This allows the cold to swirl up around one’s chin. Doesn’t always handle airflow at high speeds as well as it might, letting too much pressure in despite the vents being adjusted to prevent this.
Why you should buy it
For the price, the quality is great, it looks well, is so comfortable both for long trips and at high speed on the highway, you’ll almost have to stop yourself falling asleep.
